The former President of the United States, Mr. Donald Trump, has said he dismissed his own legal team’s advice. These were the opinions of his own lawyers relating to the 2020 election results.
The lawyer’s different views regarding challenging his defeat in the elections. Trump said that he disregarded their opinions because he did not respect them.
The lawyers did not think that the elections had been rigged. Rather, Trump had apparently arrived at the decision himself. This false claim is something that Trump continues to make as the 2024 elections approach.
Trump is the face of the Republican nominations in the 2024 Presidential elections. According to Republican supporters, he is all set to take on Joe Biden, who is his democratic counterhalf.
Donald Trump is facing 4 simultaneous criminal prosecutions. 2 of these involve his attempt to overturn the results of the 2020 elections through which he lost to Biden.
In the NBC “Meet the Press” program, he clearly stated that it was his decision.
“It was my decision,” said Trump, that the election was “rigged.” He went on to add that the decision came from his own instance that he heavily relied upon.
These claims continue from Trump. On multiple occasions amidst the several lawsuits, he keeps on delivering statements about how the election was stolen from him through boating fraud.
When people asked him about why he dismissed the lawyers’ opinions, Trump said that he did not respect them.
“Because I didn’t respect them, I listened to some people,” he said. “Guys like Bill Barr, who was a stiff, but he wasn’t there at the time
But he didn’t do his job because he was afraid,” he added.
