Mark Zuckerberg’s Meta and Instagram have launched the “Thread App” to rival Twitter. Over the years, Facebook and Twitter have been competing with each other. This has been done by copying the signature features of Twitter, like hashtags and trending topics.
But, now, Facebook has been noticed to take the biggest step in competing with its rival, Twitter.
On Wednesday, Meta was observed launching the official app, “Thread.” This app has been developed with the purpose of conducting real conversations on the online platform. The function has been Twitter’s most unique selling point for all these years.
The Thread app has various similarities with Twitter in terms of its layout and description. The listing of the app that has been included within the teaser shows its aim of building a community for like-minded people.

“The vision for Thread is to create a friendly public space for conversations,” which is the statement of Mark Zuckerberg, CEO of Meta. Zuckerberg also stated that 2 million signs ups have already been done since its launch.
He has also stated that the Thread app will be more successful compared to Twitter, as posts and thoughts shall be bigger than its rivals.
Furthermore, the Thread App can impose a big threat on Twitter as this has a bigger potential of crossing the lines of being a similar app.
Moreover, as Twitter has imposed bigger restrictions in terms of its usage and ways high-profile users have been embarrassed, it is apparent that Thread might win the popularity race.
