Trump Urges GOP to Shut Down Gov't to Halt Prosecutions

Mr. Donald Trump is urging his fellow Republicans to shut down the government. The former President wants his fellow colleagues to shut down the United States government to stop the federal prosecutions against him.

Sources held that funding lapses could stop the cases from progressing.

Republicans of the United States house of representatives are in Mayhem. There is some confusion as to how they will proceed with the litigation procedures. A spending legislation has to be passed to stop the shutdown.

A small group of Republicans that includes supporters is making the situation more complicated. The house speaker, Mr. Kevin Mcarthy, will soon deliver the agenda on a short-term funding plan.

Recently, Mr. Trump wrote, “Republicans in Congress can and must defund all aspects of Crooked Joe Biden’s weaponized Government,”

These controversial statements from Trump come in the Truth Social media site. This recent one was posted late on Wednesday.

Apparently, it was “the last chance to defund these political prosecutions against me and other Patriots.”

U.S. Justice Department, on previous events, has stated activities would continue to be funded by “permanent indefinite appropriations” in case of funding lapse.

Amidst the preparations for the 2024 elections, this seems like an important development.

President Joe Biden’s campaign is accusing Mr. Trump of protecting personal interests instead of the country’s. Trump is the leading candidate for the 2024 Republican presidential nomination.
