The Deferred Action For Childhood Arrivals program, commonly known as DACA, extends to all illegal immigrants who were brought into the United States as children. This program was set up in order to delay deportation for these members of the youth so that they became eligible for work permits.
DACA policy was given legal backing by turning it into a regulatory law. This action was carried on by the Department of Homeland Security to protect the children of immigrants by giving them a fair chance at employment.
In order to be a beneficiary of this policy, the immigrants in question are to have a clean record devoid of felons and misdemeanors.
